Cosmo City youth empowered with entrepreneurial spirit

Twenty Grade 11 learners from two Cosmo City High Schools, S’qodiphola and Cosmo City Secondary, had the opportunity to learn from one of South Africa’s most dynamic Entrepreneurs, as part of the Dimakatso project on Saturday August 18.

Cape Town embarks on R132m community facilities upgrade

The City of Cape Town’s Community Services Directorate is embarking on a series of planned upgrades, with the intention of providing quality recreational and educational services across the City. In total, the upgrades will cost more than R132 million over the next municipal financial year.

Solar-powered container connects Alex with the world

South African entrepreneur, Peter Graham, launched a solar-powered connection centre in the Thusong Youth Centre in Alexandra Township recently. The custom-designed connection centre is an integrated, self-contained, mobile solar powered container, which will provide 100% off GRID power for multiple and simultaneous internet user access, transforming township communities.
